Birobong Peak

Introduction

This peak is the summit of Chiaksan Mountain, with an altitude of 1,288 meters above sea level. The peak boasts a spectacular view overlooking the other surrounding peaks, with only the highest mountains visible, spreads out like a panorama. Here, tourists can appreciate the view of not only Gangwon-do, but also Gyeonggi-do and Chungcheong-do Provinces. There are three statues of Maitreya Buddha with a height of 5 meters high on top of the peak, which adds a mysterious impression to the summit.
